Perhaps meditating on their own strange
destiny, clients often ask me: How did you come to be in Boise?
I came to Boise in 1994, with my spouse
David and my seven year old son Rob. I can't say that I was delighted to
be moving to Boise, but I was ignorant then and I have since come to love
it.
David came to serve the regional
ministry of the Presbyterian Church. I continued my work in corporate
accounting, and from 1994 to 2001 I worked for a couple of well known
Boise businesses . . . and then my long-held dream of becoming a realtor
became a reality.
Born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, I grew
up in Sarasota, Florida in a family that was struggling to maintain
traditional Mennonite traditions. My personal journey led me to the
Presbyterian Church and to a book called The Road Less Traveled,
and then I met David!
Our initial connection was the brief
rise and fast fall of the solar energy industry, but a more durable
product of that business relationship is a romance that has lasted 21+
years.
